This was about the time where school start to crank up for the final few weeks - and boy was I busy, but since I already signed up and paid for Schoolism Live I couldn't not go. I've been to several of these talks/workshops/conferences/etc. and 90% of the time I walk away unhappy because the information provided is usually very generic and often repeated (work hard, stay positive). Anthony Jones led this workshop and boy was I in for a treat. The presentation started off very generic as usual, but once he started doing demo's I was very impressed. Not only was he an amazing artist, he was able to communicate his thought process while working - and that was very valuable, because whenever I see/watch demo's I don't understand an artist's decisions. He allowed attendees to submit their artwork to be critiqued live on the spot. These critiques were great, because again not only could you hear his thought process - he would actually fix the pieces on the fly. Schoolism Live is definitely something I'll go back to when they come back to S.F.
